Our Son Alec ran for student council in the fall and lost by only a couple votes - he was sooooo crushed! But this week he announced that he was getting back up and trying again - and would be running for the Spring Semester Student Council. This time he is armed with an amazing speech and feels sooo confident! I am sooooo proud of this child....he is just amazing! Please enjoy his speech titled "Why Me, WHY NOT!" - It only takes ONE with a DREAM to change the world!

My son Alec took a walk in the rain and took this photo - its not totally clear but it shows that mini rivers were formed everywhere by the amount of rain we have gotten with this storm! This storm has been CRAZY! Tornados, water spouts, 93 MPH winds, snow in the mountains as far as the eye can see, MUD and LOTS of it...and SHEETS of RAIN! El Nino & Global Warming at work!

Taylor was the star student of the week and got to give a presentation on his life, where he had traveled, about his family, and about the things he loves! After the presentation the class wrote letters back to Taylor and he was presented with the package at the end of the week! It was amazing to read all these letters with Tay and to see how much he is loved by his classmates!

We are expecting 20 inches of rain here in Southern California with this storm coming through - and with the tropical moisture mixed in there they are expecting lots of lightening strikes....this is just the beginning of the store and already many places in our condo complex are flooded...things are ok from my vantage point....but its not fun having all this rain on a Holiday - so the boys are trapped inside for the day.
