Prayer Request Please!!!

Please pray for my husband David. Last Sunday he had a major seizure caused by a pain medication that was prescribed for his back. He stopped breathing and his heart stopped. He is home from the hospital now, but would like to ask for prayer requests for his recovery! I also wanted to let everyone know why I have been away from the site this week!

Here is what transpired....A week ago his primary care doctor prescribed a muscle relaxer for his back problems he is having. That medication cause a massive seizure. He stopped breathing and his heart stopped for over a minute. I was able to revive him through CPR – thank GOD I took the class and knew what I was doing!!! He went to the emergency room where he remained for about 9 hours. He was in excruciating pain – but the doctors discounted it just saying it was because he had the seizure! They wouldn’t give him ANY pain medication while in the ER!!! They did a bunch of XRAYS and tests then moved him to a regular room in the Critical Care Unit. About 30 hours later they discovered that both his arms were dislocated (they made a MAJOR mistake of negligence!!!) – and he had to be rushed in for emergency surgery to relocate both shoulders because he had lost all circulation in them and the joint was dying and they thought they were going to have to amputate both arms….but they were able to save them. He was seizure free the entire time in the hospital and they determined that the medication did in fact cause the episode. His chest and arms are completely black and blue from the relocation of his shoulders and is in terrible pain but he is finally home!

We have contacted an attorney and they have stated that we definitely have a malpractice suit on our hands! So now we have that to contend with but he is alive! And I praise God for that!

Thank you for you prayers for him and my family during this time!

How scary for you! You should be so proud of yourself for doing the CPR correctly and keeping calm enough to do it. I can't believe the hospital missed 2 dislocated shoulders. Doctors should have noticed that they weren't looking quite right. Hello!! Definately sounds like a lawsuit to me and I am not lawsuit crazy. Good luck on his recovery!

I am praying for you and your husband and kids to get through this. I know what it is like to have ignoramus doctors do idiotic things to my detriment. I have never had a joint dislocation cut off blood supply to a limb completely (because I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, I have dislocations and subluxations routinely) and those doctors and nurses should have discovered such a bad dislocation a whole lot sooner (30 hours!!!!! They need vision tests, since they must be blind!). And it majorly pisses me off when doctors say you just have to live with the pain! SOOOOOOOO not true! You go get em, girl! I will pray for coping skills for you while caretaking for an ill hubby, on top of the usual mothering stuff. Thank you, God, that he is alive and still has his arms and hands.

OMG, prayers are coming your way! When my mom had her stomach stapling surgery earlier this year, things went haywire. The dr. knicked her liver, her appendix ruptured during surgery and the dr. NEVER told anyone! My mom was so full of toxin that they had to go in and suction her out and put more drains in she was sooooo sick. She still gets so sick, we don't know if the operation was done the best it could have been, if that makes sense.... We have a malpractice suit out as well. So much fun they are..... NOT.....

Thank God you were there for your husband in his dearest time of need. God was watching over him and you were his guardian angel. Bless you and your husband Royanna!

I am so sorry for this happening.I know that this has been scary-glad you were there to do the CPR. I have recently switched to a naturalpathic doctor for this very reason.

Does he have either a dietary or allergy restriction to shellfish? I have something that I know can help his inflammation and backpain that is all natural and organic based. It was recommended by both a physical therapist and then this ND. I can be reached via email at corrigarrison@gmail (dot)com

I was skeptical but have used taken it myself, put my 13 yod and my husband on it.
